I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Nationally Board Certified working with Adults and Adolescents who desire a more effective approach to life and its many challenges. With an emphasis on Health and Wellness, my clients find a strength based approached to life's challenges positive and empowering. My pracitice is located in Bellevue, Washington.
With over 5 years working with clients as a Counselor, I have had the opportunity to work in educational and medical settings, both inpatient and outpatient. The overarching theme of impaired health combined with excessive life demands has developed a commitment to work with clients in managing both areas more effectively so that both areas are easier to manage. Over 15 years in the private sector working in high conflict, high stress environments was an excellent training ground to understand the negative long term mental and physical effects of chronic stress.
It has been a great opportunity to develop groups and workshops related to managing stress and depression. Most recently, working in partnership with other skilled counselors and medical professionals to take a targeted approach to dramatically improve health, I have seen clients recover their health as a result of strong collaborative support system for clients who are highly committed to "getting healthy." Continuing with this theme, I work with a number of medical providers in the community to provide a coordinated approach to client health and well-being.
I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. Integrating complementary methodologies and techniques , a highly personalized approach is tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
